Baby Luukkonen’s blanket

Baby L is finally here! I finished his blanket last night and delivered it to him today. I’m very pleased that he was willing to model for me.
First, the blanket was all spread out and he was placed in the middle. He enhanced every little valley and peak.
All snuggled up. He’s the most beautiful baby boy I’ve seen in a long time. Congratulations to Kaveri and Vesa!

I’ve been working on an afghan that I started in 2005. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to finish it because the yarn manufacturer no longer makes that color. I’ve been trying to beg, borrow and steal any that was available. Well, now I don’t have to. I was digging in my stash looking for something else when I stumbled upon three skeins of the yarn in question! I couldn’t believe it. I’m sure they could hear my whoops of joy at the North Pole. I’d love to finish this blanket before Christmas, but we’ll see how it goes. School first, you know.
